Con Intel: Crackle & WGN America NYCC panel announcements

New additions to NYCC’s panel lineup were recently announced that will excite TV fans.

supermansionSony’s Crackle Network announced they are holding their SuperMansion Panel on Sunday, October 9th from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Attendees of this panel will certainly get a few laughs with the show’s voice-over stars Keegan-Michael Key (“Key & Peele”) and Breckin Meyer (“Robot Chicken”) scheduled to appear alongside with co-creators Zeb Wells (“Robot Chicken”) and Matthew Senreich (“Robot Chicken”). According to the press release there may be a special surprise guest as well.



image001WGN America  has announced they are bringing Salem & Outsiders as well as the new series Underground to NYCC for panels. WGN is also bring some star power with Shane West, Ryan Hurst, David Morse, Gillian Alexy, Thomas M. Wright, Kyle Gallner, Christina Jackson, Aldis Hodge, Christopher MeloniAlano Miller, Amirah Vann, and Jessica de Gouw scheduled to appear.

Friday, October 7 – 2:45pm to 3:45pm in Javits Room 1A06

Continuing its bloody, sexy and fantastical reimagining of Colonial America, join the star-studded “Salem” cast and producers for an extended sneak peek at the upcoming third season, set to premiere Halloween week, November 2 on WGN America.  Shane West (“Nikita,” “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”) along with co-creators and executive producers Brannon Braga (“Star Trek”) and Adam Simon, will unveil intriguing footage from the spellbinding supernatural thriller series, produced by Fox 21 Television Studios. Moderated discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A.

WGN America presents an exclusive first look at the second season of its gripping Appalachian drama series “Outsiders.” Fans will get a sneak peek at what happens on Shay Mountain and insight into the world of the mysterious Farrell Clan with a panel discussion and audience Q&A with the “Outsiders” cast and creative team, including creator and writer Peter Mattei, who serves as executive producer alongside Peter Tolan (“Rescue Me”), and series stars David Morse (“Treme,” “Concussion”) Ryan Hurst (“Sons of Anarchy,” “Bates Motel”), Gillian Alexy (“The Americans”), Thomas M. Wright (“The Bridge,” “Top of the Lake”) Kyle Gallner (“Veronica Mars”), and Christina Jackson (“Boardwalk Empire”). The standoff at the end of last season continues to have repercussions, putting everyone to the test as they’re forced to face new challenges and enemies.  Hailing from Sony Pictures Television, “Outsiders” season two premieres January 2017 on WGN America.

New York Comic Con attendees will get an exclusive first look at season two of WGN America’s wildly popular, heroic actioner “Underground” at this year’s convention. The network will unveil exclusive footage from the trailblazing Underground Railroad thriller as well as give a sneak peek at how the epic journey continues. The “Underground” session will include a panel discussion and audience Q&A with the cast and creative team, including series stars Aldis Hodge (“Straight Outta Compton,” “Hidden Figures”), Christopher Meloni (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For”), Alano Miller (“Jane The Virgin”) ‎Jessica de Gouw (“Arrow,” “Dracula”) and Amirah Vann (“Girls,” “And So It Goes”) along with creator/executive producer Joe Pokaski (“Daredevil,” “Heroes,”), executive producer/director Anthony Hemingway (“The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story,” “The Wire,” “Treme”) and executive producers Akiva Goldsman (“The Dark Tower,” “I Am Legend,” “A Beautiful Mind”), and Mike Jackson(“Southside With You,” “La La Land”). Season two of “Underground” follows an unremitting struggle for freedom within a divided America on the brink of civil war, each side vying to enact their own justice. Produced by Sony Pictures Television, “Underground” is set to premiere in early 2017 on WGN America.
